  18. This virus is nasty. Took over my machine last night and I am by no means a ‘noob’ user. Have a degree in multimedia and after looking at what this nasty piece of work did to my laptop and bit the bullet and did a fresh install of Windows 7. I was running up-to-date virus software with latest definitions and it didn’t make a difference. I won’t be straying from my usual sites too quickly again now! Nice tutorial though. I found after I followed all these steps the virus was still active and multiple fake iexplore.exe process were running (not the real IE of course) and hijacking my web searches. Easier just to format! Fresh is best sometimes. Cheers.

You actually make it seem so easy with your presentation but I find this topic to be actually something that I think I would never understand. It seems too complex and extremely broad for me. I’m looking forward for your next post, I’ll try to get the hang of it!

    • I had this virus take over my computer, it does not get removed that easily..I had to do a full system default restore as non of the spyware malware removal kits work..after doing a full system restore I still have the live security platinum shields on several options on my control panel, mainly security for my computer. My computer is running currently so the zero access is blocked but the worm is still embedded in my windows and I most likely will have to remove and purchase windows 7 :(
